Lately there was allot of buzz around flash on iPhone. Apples incredible phone is on the market for over 2 year but still there is no native Flash Player for it’s OS. Apple claims that it’s Adobes fault in answer to that Adobe CEO has directed a parody of Myth busters, it’s called Adobe Myth Hackers: Flash on iPhone! (you can watch it here)
Few weeks ago Adobe has announced partial list of Flash CS5 new features, and surprise surprise Flash CS5 will be able to publish iPhone apps! Developers will be able to build iPhone native apps using new Flash CS5 professional and ActionScript 3.0 (the Flash Player still wont be enabled in the browser). The public beta version of new Flash is planned to be released by the end of this year! (here you can sign up to get notified). On the Adobe Labs website you can see some example application and also a presentation :)
I’m really looking forward to this feature :) It will be awesome to develop for iPhone!
