Yesterday Lee Brimelow has posted a great tutorial called Flash Builder 4 Data Integration. It shows how easy it is to integrate server-side data into your Flex application, it can’t be easier! The tutorial is really great. Most of the beginners had trouble with retrieving server-side data in previous releases of Flex. After watching this tutorial you want have any trouble with server-side data every again!
I also found another tutorial by Lee (he had to post it while I was on a vacation), this tutorial covers the topic of SWF Framerate optimization. It shows how to dynamically change your swf’s framerate to use only the resources it needs. It’s also worth watching, great stuff!
While searching Twitter I have run into great article, it’s posted on BIT – 101 blog (great blog by the way). The topic of this article is “Flash, what is it good for?” really great read. I wont explain what it is about because the topic explains it perfectly ;) The conclusion of this article is that Flash is not for everything and we should use it mostly for multimedia and rich experience. I think every web developer should read it, especially Flash Developers!
