I know that’s maybe not the best topic for poll but I’m very curious how many of you have switched to CS4. The previous poll (Which AS version does you use) has ended on Jun 30th. The results are awesome, most of you is already using AS3(76%) only 32% is using AS2 but, in the poll you could choose multiple choices so some of you checked AS3 and AS2 ;)
Now it’s time to take part in another poll: Which Flash version does you use? CS4 has many new features but as far as I know not many of developers has made the switch already. I’m use Flash CS4 but I don’t really use the new features.
Which Flash version do you use?
- Flash CS4 (41%, 45 Votes)
- Flash CS3 (29%, 32 Votes)
- I don't use Flash (16%, 18 Votes)
- Other (please comment) (8%, 9 Votes)
- Flash 8 (5%, 6 Votes)
- Flash MX (1%, 1 Votes)
Total Voters: 111

I use Flash CS4 to prepare my SWC files. But I then do all my coding using FlashDevelop and compiling with the Flex SDK (with the SWCs linked into my project).
I write my code in Flash Builder ( Flex Builder) but I compile it in Flash CS4 ;)
I mostly use FlashDevleop, but I’d prefer either to have time to get the tools set up to use gvim & ant instead, or to find a decent plugin for Visual Studio 2k8.
I prefer flash builder as I am a coder….may be I will use flash catalyst which sounds promising!
I link the library items to classes and then edit them using FDT. I still compile with Flash Pro.
I use CS3 with Actionscript 3.0. I think it’s the best version or maybe I just got used to it:) However, after trying out CS4, I gotta say I would move to it in future when the bugs are fixed and the help documentation exists as offline version as well. Adobe, please move help docs ofline! :)
I’m also very disappointed with the online help ;/
Generally I do not post on blogs, but I would like to say that this post really forced me to do so, Excellent post!
I’m Out! :)
