Quick thought on Google Chrome

I am a FireFox user from the time I can remember, when I first heard about Google Chrome I said to my self ‘it wont be anything special‘, but when I saw a presentation of this browser I thought ‘maybe it’s time for change‘. I am a mac user so I had to wait long time… when I finally get my hands on the beta version I liked it but there was one thing I couldn’t stand. As you know I work allot with Flash, I don’t know why but Google Chrome doesn’t shows the hand cursor over Flash buttons, it doesn’t meter if the buttonMode is set to true or false, the cursor doesn’t change! I searched for the answer to my problem but haven’t found anything, I didn’t even found a single person complaining about this, whats wrong with you people? :) Please if you know how to fix this let me know!

You set buttonMode to true, did you also set useHandCursor to true? (I’m assuming as3)

I have the same issue. Flash I’m creating has certain cursor issues (ie, not changing) with full screen where it’s all fine with IE and FF, but not chrome or safari full screen… me thinks a bug…

But….(sorry hit submit too fast). I just found out the same site I’m working on is perfectly fine in Chromium – the nightly build of Chrome…

I just ran into this bug today while testing something on my Mac version of Chrome (5.0.375.38 beta). I’ve been doing some digging and it looks like there isn’t a fix yet and it is a known problem for Mac Chrome users.

Not only a problem on Mac.. I run Windows 7 prof, same problem here.. no hand cursor when mouse-over on buttons in flash with Chrome 5 beta. Funny thing though. Sometimes when a button is aligned right on the edge of a movie and I do a mouse-over on that button directly from outside of the actual flash area, then I get the hand cursor.. but then the hand cursor is always on till I mouse-out from the flash area.

The problem occurs if the wmode parameter is set to transparent (maybe opaque as well)
